SOS Inventory is an inventory, manufacturing, and order management add-on application designed for QuickBooks Online users. While QuickBooks Online offers basic inventory functionality, SOS Inventory provides complete inventory management capability, while syncing automatically with QuickBooks Online lists and transactions, eliminating the need to enter data twice.

SOS Inventory supports multiple warehouses, with the ability to transfer items between warehouses. Users can track items by serial number, and a complete history of every item in inventory is available. Along with product tracking, SOS Inventory also tracks both assemblies and kits, including work-in-progress (WIP), with inventory levels adjusted when assembled or kitted products are completed.

SOS Inventory offers multi-currency capability, and the customizable dashboard makes it easy to manage inventory and all related tasks from a central location. Along with inventory, SOS Inventory also offers both sales and purchase order capability, with inventory always adjusted in real time. The product also supports pricing tiers, with the ability to create different pricing tiers for different customers.

Users can also add images to any inventory item, and the product offers both FIFO or weighted average when valuing inventory.

SOS Inventory supports item barcoding in the Plus and Pro editions of the application, including serial and lot numbers. The product also allows users to print barcode labels using a label template. Users can also use handheld scanners to scan barcodes directly into the application if desired. An automatic order option is available in the Pro version of SOS Inventory, with users able to set the quantity at which reordering will occur.

SOS Inventory offers excellent reporting options with a variety of reports available including Purchasing, Inventory, Sales, Fulfillment, Production, and Miscellaneous. Inventory reports include Inventory Aging, Inventory Stock Status, Item Movement, and Item Analysis. Reports can be exported as a CSV file or to Microsoft Excel for further customization if desired.

Designed to seamlessly integrate with QuickBooks Online, SOS Inventory also integrates with UPS Shipping, Shopify, and PayPal. A customer portal is also available, so customers can log into the system and view their order status at any time. Data import and export options are also available, with users able to import data from other applications into SOS Inventory as desired.

Best suited for smaller retail businesses and manufacturers, SOS Inventory is available in three editions; Companion, which supports a two-user maximum, and runs $39.95 per month; Plus, which is $79.95 and supports three users and offers multiple location tracking, serial number and lot tracking and barcoding, and Pro, which is $119.95 and supports up to five system users and includes work-in-progress capability, as well as landed costs and process manufacturing.
