Favorite books/websites/speakers:

A few of my fellow colleagues that I find influential are

  • Salim Omar (CPA Marketing Genius, for practice development and marketing)
  • Joey Brannon (Axiom Strategic Consulting for consulting related to CPAs)
  • Greg Kyte (twitter @gregkyte , great follow for accounting comedy)
  • Greg Crabtree (Author – Simple Numbers Big Profits)

Books

  • The Little Engine That Could – Watty Piper – Even though reading it ad nauseam to my toddler every night would make one think you lose this message I haven’t. It’s a great message on perseverance that anyone can relate to.
  • Simple Numbers Big Profits – Greg Crabtree – Great way to simplify the numbers and present to our clients
  • Internal Revenue Code – Fascinating read that keeps you coming back for more and more and more and more and more.

What do you see yourself doing professionally in 10 years?

In 10 years I would like to oversee my firm’s continued growth. I would like to work more in the consulting arena with clients providing them with help in coaching and growing their businesses.
