Company overview

Originally founded as Edmond Software, Advanced Micro Solutions has been working in the tax software business since 1985, and officially changed its name in 1989. AMS started as a small two-man software shop and has since grown into a nationally respected software company.

Products

→ W-2/1099 Forms Filer: This is the core of the 1099-Etc program. It allows a user to print all 1099s, 5498s, 1098s, 1042-S, W-2, W-2c, W-3 and W-3c on pre-printed forms.

→ Laser Generation: This option allows the user to print forms on blank paper.

→ A-T-F Payroll: As the name implies, A-T-F Payroll allows the user to enter After-The-Fact-Payroll. However, due to its robust design, many customers use it for live payroll. A-T-F Payroll was designed to provide a great value. Most other payroll software companies charge extra for the following features included in A-T-F Payroll:

• SUTA forms for all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico.

• Forms 940, 941, 943, 944 and 1040 Schedule H.

• SITW forms for most states.

• Tax tables for all 50 states, DC and Puerto Rico.

• Support for up to 1,999 clients.

• Support for up to 23 states per client.

• Prints MICR checks with the Laser Generation Option.

• Supports direct deposit using ACH files.

A-T-F Payroll can import data from several sources. Common imports are from QuickBooks, Peachtree and Excel. Once payroll data has been entered or imported, A-T-F Payroll automatically fills out the necessary state quarterly UI forms and the federal 941. At year-end, A-T-F Payroll automatically fills out the annual 940. Payroll data is also easily transferred to the W-2s and 1099s.

→ Forms-Etc: This allows direct access to over 350 federal and state payroll and auxiliary payroll forms such as W-4, I-9 and 945.

→ Electronic Filing: This feature allows the user to electronically file 1099s, W-2s and 941s.
