Intuit Unveils Top 20 Accounting Firms of the Future

Firms Recognized as Transformative Leaders in Driving Technological Change to Ensure Long-term Success

From the sunny coastline cities of California to the bustling city streets of New York and everywhere in between, Intuit’s nationwide search for the Firm of the Future has concluded and the results are impressive. From large firms to solo-practitioners, Intuit today unveiled the top 20 accounting firms that best embody the Firm of the Future. These firms are innovating and shaping the way they meet the needs of their small business clients, using forward-thinking technologies and processes that ensure their future, long-term success and make them shining examples for traditional firms of all sizes looking to transform their business.

Starting today, the top 20 Firm of the Future are available to celebrate and view at www.FirmoftheFuture.com, the online resource developed by Intuit and key industry leaders to help accounting professionals build a future-ready firm now. At FirmoftheFuture.com accounting professionals can learn how to navigate the current trends to work more efficiently, better collaborate, and connect with their small business clients to achieve long-term success.

The search for the Firm of the Future contest received an overwhelming number of entries showcasing the depth and progress of future-ready firms across the United States. The top three winners from the 20 announced today will be revealed at Intuit’s second annual QuickBooks Connect event in San Jose, Calif. The grand prize winner receives a trip for two to Maui, Hawaii and an Intuit tech makeover package for their firm, a cash value of $2,500. The two runner ups also will receive the Intuit tech makeover package.

“We’re excited to recognize accounting firms across the US that have embraced change and built future-ready firms,” said Jim McGinnis, vice president, Intuit Small Business Group, Accountant Segment. “The top 20 Firms of the Future represent a variety of firm types, sizes, geographies and expertise. They inspired us with their future-ready approaches to improve practice management, find prospects and retain more clients. We look forward to celebrating each of them at QuickBooks Connect this November when we unveil the top three.”

All 20 top firms will receive an all-expense paid trip to attend the conference, where they’ll get connected, educated and inspired by a compelling speaker lineup with thousands of business owners, entrepreneurs, accountants and developers in attendance.

“Only behavior changes the game, and these top 20 firms have found their sweet spot in becoming a next generation accounting firm,” said Darren Root. “They now have the ability to encourage others in the field to identify their ideal day and clients so that they too can create a business that they love.”

A panel of qualified judges, including Jim McGinnis, Darren Root and Intuit Accountant Segment senior leaders, selected the top 20 Firms of the Future who best embody the attributes of Firms of the Future, originality and creativity.
