AICPA IFRS Certificate Program

To help finance professionals gain proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards, a set of high quality reporting requirements that has garnered growing acceptance worldwide, the AICPA created a new certificate program.

The program consists of 25 online, self-study courses that explore the treatment of business combinations, fair value, revenue recognition and other topics under IFRS. Courses were developed by subject matter experts from around the world, and the program is delivered through a mix of audio, video and interactive material.

Enrollees get free access to eIFRS, an online subscription resource maintained by the IFRS Foundation that provides access to the IFRS and the International Accounting Standards (IAS). They also gain access to a growing library of supplemental podcasts on IFRS topics available from AICPA.

Besides earning a Certificate of Educational Achievement, CPAs who successfully complete the program are eligible for up to 41.5 CPE credits. The standard price of the program is $1,695. AICPA members get a discounted rate of $1,195, while CGMA holders pay $1,120.
Feedback on the IFRS Certificate Program has been excellent. Seventy-one percent of enrollees said the knowledge they gained will increase their marketability as a financial professional, and 95 percent said they are satisfied to extremely satisfied with the program, according to a recent CPA2Biz survey.
