A Salute to the Ohio Society of CPAs
Jan. 13, 2010
The OSCPA is continuing their annual tradition of providing free tax return
preparation for military families. To qualify, the filer (or one of the joint
filers) must be a permanent resident of the state of Ohio and be currently deployed
outside of the state.
As a veteran who served overseas several times, I would like to offer my respect
to the society. As a young and unmarried serviceman, I had non-complex reporting
needs while deployed and was able to handle the filing myself. But
for many of our troops, especially those separated from their families, homes and businesses, this
can be a great relief, and provides the added assurance of a professionally
prepared return and the expert review of a qualified CPA.
