Sage and Avalara Partner to Host New Webcast Series
Sage North America and Avalara announced they are partnering for a new webcast series focused on sales tax.

Sage North America, global supplier of business management software and services for small midsized businesses, and Avalara, visionary in sales tax automation, announced at the AICPA Practitioners Symposium and Tech+ Conference they are partnering to bring a new webcast series to accountants.
The webcast series will be focused on sales tax compliance and available exclusively for Sage Accountants Network members. Scheduled for July through December, the series will feature some of the U.S.’s top sales tax experts and feature a range of topics such as taxability of digital software downloads, common sales tax mistakes and best practices. CPE credit is available to SAN members for each webcast they attend.
“Sage and Avalara, in announcing this innovative webcast series around sales tax, are furthering our commitment to help accountants take a more active role in their clients’ business success, while also increasing their service offerings,” said Jennifer Warawa, vice president, partner programs and channel sales, Sage North America. “This new educational series is another example of the added value we are delivering to our members on issues that will impact their clients’ businesses and their firm’s overall growth.”
The first webcast will take place on July 24 and feature State Tax Consultant, Sylvia Dion, CPA. Dion, who is the author of The State and Local Tax “Buzz” blog, will present on federal internet sales tax legislation and state Amazon laws.

Sage and Avalara recently partnered together to launch the Sales Tax Resource Center for SAN members. The mission of the resource center is to help SAN members offer more services to the small businesses they serve.
