TaxConnex recently announced the release of the fourth installment of its “Sales Tax Handbook: A Guide to Sales Tax Laws and Current Issues.” The latest chapter addresses issues and complications regarding exemption certificates and drop shipment rules. TaxConnex provides sales and use tax outsourcing and consulting services.
Authored by Brian Green, TaxConnex partner, the handbook provides guidance for basic sales tax concepts for small and mid-sized businesses. The latest edition provides readers with resources for managing the exemption certificate process for exemptions customers may claim. The handbook also addresses the auditing process and what auditors look for in relation to sales taxes and exemptions.
Previous installments focused on Amazon Laws, Click-Through Nexus, Affiliate Sales Tax Nexus and the Marketplace Fairness and Marketplace Equity Acts. The complete series is available on the TaxConnex website. A new article in the series is published each month on the website.
