Cloud payroll services provider ZenPayroll has introduced a new feature that makes it easy for employers to add a special, customized note to employees' pay stubs.
The Personal Notes tool can be used for a variety of messages, including simple kudos for a job well done, thanking employees for working hard on a project, celebrating a birthday or other major event, or giving a bonus. To leave a note, employers simply type in a message when they run payroll, and then the note will appear on employee payday notifications emails and on the actual pay stub itself.
Alex Lipscomb, President of ALL MAVEN, a brand development firm for small businesses, was having trouble thinking of the perfect brand language for her company. She had been contemplating it for months. She pulled in Cydney, her co-owner and first hire, for a brainstorming session. Cydney turned things around immediately.
“I had plenty of sessions working on brand language for quite some time and man, we were really struggling to communicate it. She nailed it in 15 minutes,” said Alex.
When Alex heard about ZenPayroll’s new Personal Notes feature, which lets employers send a special note to any employee when running payroll, she couldn’t wait to give it a whirl.
“Amazing job on the brainstorming session for branding last week,” she wrote on Cydney's pay stub. “You totally nailed down our brand language concept in 15 minutes that we’d been working on for months. This will make our new campaigns so much smoother.”
Once Alex ran payroll, Cydney received the note on her payday notifications email and her online pay stub.
In addition to ALL MAVEN, the feature has already been a hit among other business customers, including Marc Elias, Canine Executive Officer at New York-based Pooch Pals.
“We love the new ZenPayroll Personal Note feature,” he said. “This is a great way to recognize employee birthdays and personal achievements, plus reward people for superb performance. We believe that showing and telling our employees they are appreciated is crucial to creating a happy and healthy company culture.”
