Ann Brown joins CBIZ as Senior Manager
CBIZ, part of the nation’s 10th largest accounting and tax provider, recently announced the addition of Ann Brown, CPA, MST as a Senior Manager. Brown is working out of both the Boston, MA and Providence, RI offices.
Ann has 20 years of experience in the tax industry, and has held leadership roles in large multistate restructuring engagements, comprehensive multistate income tax planning, nexus reviews, and capital loss reviews. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston College Carroll School of Management, and a Master of Science in Taxation from Northeastern University.
Lauren Pfingstag Joins AICPA as Director of Congressional & Political Affairs
The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) recently announced the addition of Lauren Pfingstag to its team of advocacy professionals as Director of Congressional & Political Affairs.
Pfingstag will be responsible for representing the AICPA before Congress, the Administration and other major public policy organizations, and for implementing the advocacy initiatives of the accounting profession. Pfingstag recently served as Associate Director for Government Relations and Public Policy for the International Franchise Association.
Michael Rose joins Eisneramper as Partner
EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recently announced that Michael Rose has joined the firm as a PRTS partner. He will specialize in enterprise risk management, IT, regulatory and compliance, internal audit and monitoring, and data governance.
Michael has more than 35 years of experience in governance/compliance, internal audit, internal controls, business process optimization, as well as IT audit and advisory, IT security, and monitoring controls and will be based at EisnerAmper’s Philadelphia office. He currently holds a B.S. in Business and an M.B.A. in Finance from Philadelphia University and an M.S. in Taxation from Widener University.
Baker Tilly Expands Real Estate Valuation and Advisory Service Offerings
Leading advisory, tax and assurance firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) recently announced the expansion of its real estate valuation and advisory service offerings with the strategic hiring of Managing Director Brent Maier, Senior Manager Kevin Secrist, and Manager Nicholas Palkovic.
Maier will direct the firm’s newly expanded suite of real estate valuation and advisory offerings, which include overall portfolio consulting and real estate acquisition due diligence.
Maier, Secrist and Palkovic join Baker Tilly from Houlihan Lokey, where they were key members of the real estate valuation & advisory services practice in Chicago.
Bill Fasel joins Grant Thornton to help grow its financial advisory and transformation offerings
Grant Thornton LLP, the U.S. member firm of Grant Thornton International Ltd, a global independent audit, tax and advisory firm, recently announced that Bill Fasel has joined the firm as a managing director in the firm’s Strategic Solutions practice within Advisory Services.
Fasel has more than 25 years of advisory experience assisting multinational and middle-market clients with corporate restructuring, business transformation, corporate finance and strategic planning. Before joining Grant Thornton, Fasel held leadership roles with several professional-services firms, including PwC LLP’s Business Recovery Services practice, and Deloitte LLP’s Corporate Advisory Services group. Fasel received a master’s of business administration degree in finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from the University of Michigan.
Dixon Hughes Goodman Admits Jessica Coniglio as Partner
Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP (DHG), a U.S. top 20 public accounting and advisory firm, recently announced the addition of Jessica Coniglio, CPA, to its New York City office. Jessica is admitted as partner and is a member of DHG’s Risk Advisory practice.
Jessica is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who has been a key member of the DHG Risk Advisory team for seven years. As an advisory partner, she will continue to lead global and national finance transformation projects.
Jessica graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy and is a CPA in North Carolina and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
