and close to their [accountant] customers. Lesley is an advocate for accountants
both within Intuit and in the community. She is recognized throughout Intuit
as an expert on the accountant customer. Her grasp of the needs of accountants
and their firms allows her to shape Intuit programs to enable accountants to
grow their practices. She seeks creative solutions to help meet their needs
and is able to influence Intuit to make beneficial changes happen.
What technology or business process does Lesley see affecting the tax
and accounting profession in the next five years?
“Accountants will have to continue to look for ways to diversify themselves
beyond traditional accounting and tax preparation. They will need to find alternative
business consulting growth opportunities to create a year round stream of revenue.
Clients are looking for a ‘one-stop shop’ when selecting an accounting
professional. For example, they may seek financial advice, software consultation
and estate planning from one individual. Technology will allow accountants the
flexibility to diversify and serve a variety of clients in locations throughout
the country and the world.”
