The AICPA recently launched a new interactive CPA Exam Aid for iOS and Android devices and optimized its online store for browsing and ordering using smartphones.
“One of the most exciting developments in our profession is the rise of ‘Digital CPAs,’ practitioners who are using technology to transform the way they serve clients,” said AICPA President and CEO Barry C. Melancon, CPA, CGMA. “We are committed to providing our members the right guidance and tools to make that transition.”
The CPA Exam Aid is an extension of the “Prepare for the Exam” section of thiswaytocpa.com and syncs to the user’s This Way to CPA account, allowing professionals to prepare for the CPA exam from their smartphone. The app provides a customizable timeline, tips and a link to the This Way to CPA online forum.
“We developed the CPA Exam Aid with the idea of making it as easy as possible for candidates to get the info they need to plan for the exam, get certified and begin their careers,” said Scott Moore, AICPA Senior Manager, College and University Initiatives. “The exam is very challenging, but we’ve made managing your study time a lot easier.”
The enhanced website automatically redirects smartphones to the mobile version of cpa2biz.com, making it easier to navigate the store from an iPhone or Android device. Features of the mobile site include browsing by topic or product type, search filters, articles from weekly newsletters and the ability to track purchases.
CPA2Biz, the technology subsidiary of the AICPA, created both the mobile app and the optimized mobile website.
