Sage Announces New CTO Role to be Filled by Palsule

Sage North America has appointed Himanshu Palsule to the newly-created position of Chief Technology Officer and Head of Product Strategy.

In this new role, Palsule is responsible for all product and technology development as well as guiding the overall product strategy for the Sage product and services portfolio in North America. A primary focus will be on driving consistency and innovation across the portfolio to meet the growing needs of small and midsized businesses and increasing investments and focus in the areas of cloud computing and mobility. He reports to Sage North America CEO Pascal Houillon.

Sage is a leading global provider of accounting, ERP and other business management applications and services for small and midsized businesses, with more than 6 million customers worldwide.

“Himanshu brings a unique combination of commercial and technology expertise through his years of leadership within Sage and working with customers and business partners to deliver enriching products and services,” said Houillon. “In his new role as CTO, Himanshu will help us focus on the issues that small and midsized business care about most and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.”

Palsule was previously executive vice president of Strategy for Sage North America. In prior roles at the company, he was general manager of the Sage North America specialized solutions business and then the company’s portfolio of ERP and CRM products. Palsule has more than 25 years of experience in the accounting and financial industry and has been a regular speaker at industry events. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in software engineering.
