Bainbridge Island, WA – Avalara and AGN International-North America have announced the formation of a new strategic alliance that will enable AGN-NA member firms to access critical sales and use tax (SUT) and value added tax (VAT) information and related resources to better meet member firm clients’ needs. In addition, AGN-NA members will be able to take advantage of Avalara partnering programs specifically designed to help accounting firms expand and differentiate their services.
AGN-NA is made up of 45 of the leading accounting firms located in North America, and is part of AGN International, which in total is comprised of 195 member firms, operating from 460 offices, in 88 countries around the world. Avalara is a provider of sales tax and compliance automation services in the cloud.
Rita Hood, AGN-NA Executive Director, said a key benefit of this alliance is Avalara’s Accountants Resource Center (ARC), which is immediately available to all AGN member firms. “This special-purpose website contains a wealth of important information related to Sales and Use Tax, including updated information on pending legislation, a forms library, rates tables, and links to business-critical sales and use tax information,” said Hood “We are very pleased to be working with the sales tax professionals at Avalara.” Hood also noted that AGN-NA will be able to tap into Avalara’s SUT and VAT experts for their event presentations and webinars.
Ray Bigley, VP of Business Development for Avalara’s Accounting and Advisory Services Program (AASP), pointed out that the new strategic relationship with AGN-NA is part of a larger effort to create greater awareness and closer working relationships with accounting firms across the U.S., and globally.
“AGN is a major player in the international accounting associations community, and we are very pleased to begin this exciting new partnership with them and their member firms,” said Bigley. “Our new alliance gives AGN firms instant access to the most up-to-date SUT and VAT tax tools and educational resources available anywhere – giving them greater ability to assist their clients and enhance their status as trusted advisors.”
