Avalara Announces Strategic Partnership with McGladrey LLP
McGladrey Clients to Benefit from Avalara’s End-to-End Sales and Use Tax Compliance Solutions
A new partnership between Avalara and accounting firm McGladrey could help thousands of businesses better manage their sales and use tax compliance processes.
Avalara, which makes cloud-based systems that automate sales taxes, announced it has formed a strategic partnership with McGladrey, which has offices in 75 cities around the country, providing accounting, consulting and tax services to thousands of middle market and small businesses.
Through this partnership, Avalara will work with McGladrey to provide effective solutions that help companies manage their sales tax reporting and compliance related processes. This solution will allow McGladrey’s compliance and automation practice to deliver additional software alternatives to its middle market clients using Avalara’s end-to-end sales and use tax compliance solutions for rate calculation, filing and returns, and exemption certificate management.
“With increasing changes in sales tax, geo-location issues, and clients asking for the cost and functional benefits of cloud services, Avalara was a logical choice for us,” said Steve Parish, principal, and state and local tax leader with McGladrey. “Avalara also fits well with McGladrey's technology services and our mission of enabling customers to focus on their business. McGladrey consultants and sales tax specialists will work collaboratively with Avalara to address client needs.”
“Avalara appreciates that the bottom-line value in working with McGladrey is in improving clients’ experiences,” said Pascal Van Dooren, EVP Sales & Marketing at Avalara. “We’re very excited about this partnership, and we appreciate McGladrey’s trust in Avalara to work with and handle their clients’ sales and use tax automation needs, with the added benefit of increasing clients’ efficiency and productivity.”
