L.A. Accounting Firm Helps Indian Film Fest
As a part of it's annual charitable giving campaign, an L.A.-area accounting firm is helping fund an annual film festival that helps bridge the gap between the two largest entertainment capitals in the world: Hollywood and Bollywood.

As a part of it's annual charitable giving campaign, an L.A.-area accounting firm is helping fund an annual film festival that helps bridge the gap between the two largest entertainment capitals in the world: Hollywood and Bollywood.
Gumbiner Savett Inc. will be supporting the 12th Annual Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles as a major sponsor for the fifth consecutive year. Despite coinciding with the last week of busy season, the firm makes time to support the April 8-13 event, with several staff members attending evening and weekend gatherings and screenings.
“It's a great way to de-stress from a heavy day of work,” says Shreedhar (Shree) Kothari, a shareholder at Gumbiner Savett Inc. and a board member and treasurer of the festival. “The firm has always supported the interests of its shareholders and staff, so when I was looking for a non-profit to become more involved in, they supported my decision due to my love of Indian cinema.” Born and raised in India, Shree enjoyed attending Indian films as a child. “IFFLA and the excellent films they showcase, offers me a chance to stay in touch with the type of movies I grew up with and love, even though I live In Los Angeles.”
Due to Shree's financial expertise and deeply-rooted presence in the local community his focus as a board member is to manage and raise money for IFFLA.
“Shree's participation in the festival allows staff to understand the importance of getting involved in the community when you are a business leader,” says Michael Savoy, the firm's managing director. “Finding something that blends your business acumen with a passion is the key.”
Gumbiner Savett has a long-time relationship with the entertainment industry, working with various clients including independent production entities, film and television studios, foreign entertainment companies, post production houses, independent record labels, and distributors, as well as agents, lawyers, artists, musicians, actors, producers, directors, screenwriters and authors.
