Do you live in Washington State and know of a local business that does a lot in your community?

The Washington Secretary of State is now accepting nominations for the 2014 Corporations for Communities Award.

Secretary of State Kim Wyman will choose one large and one small business for the award. Large companies are those with 100 or more employees.

Winners will receive a National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion, which is the highest civics honor that the state awards.

The CFC program aims to recognize Washington businesses that demonstrate a commitment to giving.

Nominations must be submitted by Aug. 31 and the winners will be announced in October.

Nomination forms can be found at sos.wa.gov/corps/corpsforcommunities.
