Protiviti Named To Top List for Operational Risk Management Solutions

Global consulting firm Protiviti has been named a Challenger by Gartner, Inc., in the “Magic Quadrant for Operational Risk Management Solutions” for its ability to execute and completeness of vision1 for the Protiviti Governance Portal. The Protiviti Governance Portal provides companies with the visibility and oversight they need to address multiple governance, risk and compliance (GRC) objectives through a single, unified technology platform.

According to the report, “Gartner defines operational risks as those risks that ‘relate to the uncertainty of daily tactical business activities, as well as risk events resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people or systems, or from external events.’ Operational risk management (ORM) software solutions allow organizations to aggregate and normalize data from multiple data sources, including operational and financial systems, as well as from external sources such as regulatory alerts and loss event databases.” The report adds, “By providing a better understanding of these risks to business objectives, ORM enables better business performance and capital allocation.
