Sageworks has released a new three-part podcast series for accountants on iTunes. The podcast series, “Next-Level Accountants: Your guide to growing a firm of trusted advisors,” features interviews with industry experts Ronald J. Baker, Doug Sleeter, Randall Bolten, Kelly Phillips Erb, Jody Padar and Charles H. Green.

The podcasts are each 15-minutes or less and cover topics including pricing, improving client presentations, building better client relationships and reaching new markets.

The three podcasts are free and include:

  1. 5 Steps to Better Pricing and the Tech Know-How Firms Need
  2. 3 Ways Trusted Advisors Communicate Numbers Effectively and Why Sharing Your Expertise Matters
  3. Becoming a Future-Ready Firm Full of Trusted Advisors

In the podcasts, the industry experts are interviewed by former ABC News journalist and radio show host Richard Davies and former NPR, Entertainment Tonight and Court TV anchor/reporter Diane Dimond.

The podcasts are based on the book, “Next-Level Accountants: Your guide to growing a firm of trusted advisors,” which brings together these and other top thought leaders in accounting and business valuation to provide practical strategies to help firms create more value for their clients.

Mary Ellen Biery, the book’s author noted, “Like the proverbial shoemaker’s barefoot children, CPAs and other professional services firms are often working nonstop to help businesses run more smoothly or profitably, and they sometimes overlook their own need for new ideas to improve their practices. Since the podcasts are portable and efficient information sessions, they provide an easy way to learn and get inspired.
