Pannell Kerr Forster of Texas, P.C. Hires New Director
PKF Texas recently announced the addition of Martin Euson, JD as a directory in its Tax and Transaction Advisory services. Euson specializes in federal income taxation, tax structuring, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. He provides strategic tax due diligence and tax structuring services in connection with those transactions. Euson received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Franklin Pierce College and his Juris Doctor degree from Union University’s Albany School of Law.

Scheffel Boyle Forms Agribusiness Service Niche
Scheffel Boyle recently announced the formation of its Agribusiness Service Niche, providing tax, accounting, audit, succession and estate planning and general consulting services to those in the agricultural industry. Michael Ulrich, Steve Pembrook, Dennis Ulrich, Danny Phipps, John Russell and Justin Goode will make up the Agribusiness team, and most of them have personal experience owning and operating their own farms, as well as providing financial services to farming.

Rodman CPAs Accountant Receives CPA Certification
Rodman CPAs recently announced that Jeremy Eckmair, staff accountant, received his Certified Public Accountant certification, making him the ninth CPA on Rodman CPAs’ staff. He assists clients with reviews, audits and preparations of financial statements and tax returns. Eckmair received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Master of Science in Accounting from the University of New Hampshire.

International Accounting Standards Board Appoints New Chair and Vice-Chair to Islamic Finance Consultative Group
The International Accounting Standards Board recently announced the appointment of Mohammad Faiz Azmi as chair and Martin Edelmann as vice-chair of the Islamic Finance Consultative Group. Azmi, Executive Chairman of PwC Malaysia, previously served as the Chairman of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board and has been a member of the Islamic Finance Consultative Group since it was established. Edelmann is a member of the International Accounting Standards Board.

The Islamic Finance Consultative Group, formerly the Consultative Group on Shariah-Compliant Instruments and Transactions, is an advisory group to the Board that focuses on possible issues that may arise when IFRS Standards are applied to Islamic financial instruments and transactions. The current members of the Islamic Finance Consultative Group are:

Brown Smith Wallace recently hired Lisa Benson as a business development manager. She has more than 20 years of diverse business development experience. Benson has served as partner and leader of the Business Development Services division at The Growth Partnership as well as the COO of The Advisory Board. She attended The Partner Institute Leadership Program and is a founding member of The CPA Consultants’ Alliance.

Grant Thornton LLP recently added Derek Han, CISSP as a principal in the Cyber Risk practice and Glen Marku as a managing director in the Transfer Pricing practice. Han has more than 18 years of experience in information security, IT risk consulting, information security program assessment and implementation, information security policies and standards, network security architecture and Governance, Risk, and Compliance solution design and implementation. He received his master’s degree in management information systems from the University of Iowa, his master’s in business administration from Iowa State University and his bachelor’s degree from Beihang University.

Marku has more than 10 years of public accounting experience, specializing in documentation, planning, transfer pricing controversy matters, valuation of financial instruments, complex securities and economic consulting for multinational clients. He received a Ph.D. in economics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, a master’s degree in economics from Western University in Canada and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Berea College.

CohnReznick Advisory Adds Partner
CohnReznick LLP recently appointed Marc Nadritch, CPA, as a partner in CohnReznick Advisory. Nadritch, a member of the Transaction Advisory Services Practice, focuses on middle market transactions for both private equity and strategic acquirers. He received his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and Investments from the Zicklin School of Business of Baruch College and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Yeshiva University.
