Intuit’s Developer team has announced the 10 finalists for the company’s $100,000 contest, the Intuit Small Business App Showdown. These finalists will be recognized at the QuickBooks Connect 2016 conference in October, where the winner will also be announced.
For the last several months, developers who entered the Small Biz App Showdown have been busy engaging their social networks to promote and gain attention for these new Apps.com apps. Intuit said it saw all kinds of tactics used, from daily emails to their customer base, to on-air radio appearances, to joining exclusive #SmallBizAppShowdown #QBOChat.
While the votes rolled in, the apps were also judged on their quality of integration, innovation, and market impact. Those criteria, combined with the vote tally, their apps.com app card ratings, and the number of connections to QuickBooks Online subscribers, were used to select the 10 finalists.

The developers are from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. The apps tey’ve developed address a range of small business needs that demonstrates the wide range of the QuickBooks app ecosystem.
From now until October 24th, the finalists will be busy cultivating the perfect demo, determining exactly what they will present on stage for their 3-minute pitch. QuickBooks Connect begins on October 24,
