Jon Baron, the managing director for the Professional segment of Thomson Reuters’ Tax & Accounting business, has been named the recipient of the 2016 On The Edge Innovation Award by Leading Edge Alliance Global (LEA). Thomson Reuters is a global leader in tax, audit and accounting solutions.
According to LEA, the award is bestowed on an individual “who has demonstrated unique service to the accounting profession.” With more than 40 years of accounting experience, Mr. Baron is a widely respected leader and technology advocate. In winning the On The Edge Innovation Award, Mr. Baron was honored for making a positive impact on the profession and being an industry recognized, forward-thinking professional.
As the managing director of Thomson Reuters Professional segment, Mr. Baron is responsible for its Tax & Accounting business aligned to accounting, bookkeeping and tax software, notably as the lead for the CS Professional and Onvio brands. Earlier this year, Mr. Baron was named to Accounting Today’s Top 100 Most Influential People in tax and accounting list for the 11th year.
