Ryan Adds New Principals and Corporate Officer to Senior Leadership Team
Ryan recently named Jason DeCuir, Zachary Fleming, Suzanne Markley and James Payerle to principal and Whit Pepper to Senior Vice President of Business Development. DeCuir specializes in creating public affairs strategies focused on state tax policy issues and disputes, and provides state tax legislative, regulatory, and advocacy services to clients in various industries. He also serves on several task forces created to reform Louisiana tax code. DeCuir received his Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law degrees from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University, his Master of Business Administration degree from Louisiana Tech University and his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University.
Fleming specializes in the valuation, assessment, taxation and exemption of real property on state and local levels. He lectures on various tax topics for Ryan clients and has appeared as a speaker for the Institute for Professionals in Taxation and the Texas Golf Course Owners Association. Fleming graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Economics and from the Golf Professional Training Program at the PGA of America.
Markley focuses on income-producing properties and specializes in the valuation, assessment and taxation of real property. She has extensive experience in national property tax engagement management. Markley received her Master of Business Administration degree from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and her Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate from the University of Georgia.
Payerle provides multi-jurisdictional transaction tax services to clients. He has 14 years of transaction tax experience in the manufacturing, mining, chemicals, retail, hospitality, financial and warehousing industries. Payerle received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Accounting from Kent State University.
Pepper has more than 20 years of senior management experience leading client development and growth. His focus is on improved client profitability and cash flow through strategic tax solutions throughout the client life cycle. Pepper graduated from Davidson College with his MBA from Melbourne Business School and completed his Executive Education in Strategy at Harvard Business School.
CohnReznick Names New Partner of National Director of Accounting
CohnReznick LLP recently announced the appointment of Robert G. Hilbert, CPA, as partner and National Director of Accounting. Hilbert has more than 25 years of experience providing technical guidance on accounting and auditing issues to clients in a variety of industries including mining, retail, manufacturing, commodity and energy, small to very large banks and other financial institutions, technology and life sciences companies. His expertise includes fair value accounting, financial instruments, debt and equity transactions, revenue recognition, business combinations, income taxes and SEC reporting matters. Hilbert received his B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University.
