The Maryland Association of CPAs has announced that Amy Puente has joined the MACPA team as sponsorship and advertising manager.
An experienced sales and business development professional, Puente will perform the increasingly important task of connecting MACPA members to key partners throughout the accounting and finance world. Her ultimate goal is to nurture those relationships in ways that will benefit the MACPA’s partners and help its members become more future-ready.
This marks Puente’s second stint with the MACPA. From 2007 to 2014, she served as a customized learning consultant with the MACPA and its affiliate, the Business Learning Institute.
Puente will report to Pamela Devine, the MACPA’s director of learning and development.
“We are excited to have Amy back on the MACPA and BLI teams,” Devine said. “Relationships matter more today than ever before, and Amy will be doing the important work of connecting our members to some of the most innovative and forward-thinking organizations in the profession. If we can do that, everyone wins — and our profession is stronger as a result.”
“I’m thrilled to be back on the MACPA team,” Puente said. “More importantly, I’m excited to be working to connect our members with some of the world’s most future-focused organizations. Those types of networks benefit everyone — our partners, our members, and especially our members’ business clients, who are counting on CPAs to be their guides to the future.”
Puente is a native of Baltimore and a graduate of Towson University in Towson, Md.
