Joshua D. Lance, CPA, CGMA is the Managing Director of Lance CPA Group, a CPA firm he started from the ground up four years ago based in Chicago, Illinois. Josh is responsible for the overall operations of the firm and management of the team of seven employees. Lance CPA Group specializes in working with tech companies and craft breweries providing outsourced accounting, tax, and consulting services. Before venturing out on his own, Josh spent his early career at Crowe Horwath as an auditor in the financial institutions practice for seven years rising to audit manager. After leaving Crowe Horwath, Josh joined an ultra-high net worth family office in Chicago serving as their Controller and Treasury Manager.

In addition to the work in his firm, Josh is also an adjunct professor at Northwestern University teaching accounting and enterpreneurship in the Farley Center for Entrepreneurship. The class that Josh co-teaches is designed for undergraduate students to learn about accounting to apply to their future entrepreneurial efforts. Josh is also the co-founder of Socially Beneficial Investments LLC, a company that helps provide housing and real estate to immigrants with partnerships with nonprofits to lead participants to home ownership.
