I began in public accounting while working on my AA Degree in 2002 at a sole proprietor firm in Spokane, WA. I fell in love with tax and continued with the firm while completing my BA in Accounting at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. After graduation my favorite tax professor, Dr. Weber, helped me land a tax associate position at a firm in Tucson, AZ. I worked at Beach Fleischman for almost two years before signing on with a firm in Phoenix, AZ, Walker & Armstrong LLP. There I continued to develop while focused on tax. In 2009, after spending a year with another firm in Tucson, AZ, I rejoined Walker & Armstrong to focus on audit. In July 2015, after 6 years of working in both audit and tax, I left public accounting and joined 1st Financial Bank USA as a Vice President of Finance & Tax.
I am on the Board of Mary J. Treglia Community House. MJTCH believes that cultural diversity strengthens the community and the organization strives to identify and respond to the needs of the immigrant population in our community through education, services, advocacy and celebration of diversity. My involvement with MJTCH is an extension of my belief that diversity in business breeds inspiration and innovation. It allows me to be a part of bringing those outcomes into my community as a whole. My hope is to positively impact those around me by championing development and support for all who live in our community.
