During my career in public accounting I have had the opportunity to experience personal and professional growth unimaginable to me as an accounting student at the University of Georgia.  Thanks to many mentors who have taken a personal interest in me and my career, I have been given countless opportunities to stretch myself, learn from mistakes, and achieve success.  Much of the success of my career has been a team effort in providing excellent client service.  However, the most rewarding experiences have been the opportunities to mentor and develop younger CPAs and being appointed to the Georgia State Board of Accountancy.  Finally, from a personal development aspect, my greatest accomplishment was participating in LEAD FD, an intensive twelve month personal awareness and development program within Frazier & Deeter.  “Feast on your weaknesses or starve on your ego” – Brian Ungard

Beyond Frazier & Deeter, I’m involved in several organizations with missions aligning with my passions.  I’ve served the Georgia Society of CPAs in several roles including the GSCPA Leadership Council and Young CPA Advisory Council. Additionally, I currently serve as vice chair of the Georgia State Board of Accountancy and have served in several roles on the University of Georgia Terry College of Business’ Young Alumni Board where I am currently chairman.  Finally, my involvement with community organizations in Atlanta includes Piedmont Park Conservancy, Easter Seals, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Park Pride Atlanta, and Agape Youth & Family Center.

Favorite influencer(s) (authors, bloggers, mentors, speakers, etc.) – The hard to seem infallible and others will work to find our flaws.  Admit our shortcomings and others with work to help us be infallible.” – Simon Sinek (https://startwithwhy.com/).

Imagine finding yourself in a trustworthy environment, one that tolerates- even prefers- making your weaknesses public so that your colleagues can support you in the process of overcoming them. Imagine recapturing the full-time energies of your employees now joined to the mission of the enterprise. You’re imagining an organization that, through its culture, is an incubator or accelerator of people’s growth. In short, you’re imagining a deliberately developmental organization” – An Everyone Culture, Harvard Business Press, 2016
