GMS Partners with Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies
Nov. 20, 2017
Grants Management Systems (GMS), developer of accounting and revolving loan software for nonprofits, is partnering with the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies (OACAA) to offer a one-day accounting software user training on January 23, 2018 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Sheraton on Capitol Square in Columbus, OH.
GMS will kick off their 2018 Regional Training schedule as a component of OACAA’s 2018 Winter Legislative Conference in January. The one-day training will be a segment of OACCA’s pre-conference line-up and attendees will receive a complete overview of the GMS Nonprofit Accounting and Financial Management System. They will be trained on all aspects of the software from setup files to processing steps and financial reporting.
“In October, we hosted our inaugural Regional Training in Baltimore, Maryland. It went so well that we understand there is a great need and will offer them monthly in 2018. When one of our clients, who is a member of the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies, called and asked that we host a training during their event, we could not pass up the opportunity. We have a large concentration of clients in Ohio, so it only made sense and it is a perfect fit,” said Donald Cassady, President and CEO of GMS.
The Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies mission is to support its members and to strengthen a unified Community Action presence in Ohio. The annual Winter Legislative Conference draws over 250 Community Action professionals and features a series of tracks including Fiscal/Human Resources, Public Relations/Communications and Core Essentials over a three-day period.
“We are proud to have GMS teaming up with us this year to offer the pre-conference one-day training,” said Philip E. Cole, Executive Director of OACAA. “This partnership will allow our members to benefit not only from attending our three-day conference, but also provide those who use the GMS system every day the benefit of an intensive learning opportunity to maximize their use of the system.”
