Friedman LLP Launches New Cyber Security Practice

Top 50 accounting and advisory firm, Friedman LLP, is expanding its service offerings to include cyber security consulting with the launch of Friedman CyZen LLC (“CyZen”), a wholly owned company of Friedman. The goal of CyZen is to bring peace of mind to businesses by empowering them to make sense of cyber security and defend against cyberattacks.

The cyber security advisors of CyZen deliver multi-faceted services to support a range of businesses within the public and private sectors— from small and medium-sized companies to large-scale enterprises. Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all approach, the CyZen team devises customized solutions geared toward the particular vulnerabilities of each organization. The team draws on more than 30 years of combined experience in cyber security protection across a host of industries, including government, financial services, technology, retail, manufacturing, legal, healthcare, telecommunications, real estate, pharmaceuticals, and more.

At the helm of this new practice group is Managing Director Jacob Lehmann. He brings more than 10 years of experience spearheading pro-active, innovative and custom-tailored solutions that help safeguard clients from cyber security risks. The CyZen team possesses decades of experience protecting entities, including the U.S. Department of Defense and National Security Agency.

Jacob Lehmann is the Managing Director of Friedman CyZen LLC with more than 10 years of experience spearheading pro-active and custom-tailored solutions that help safeguard clients from cyber security risks. His engagements span small and medium-sized businesses and high-net-worth individuals to big enterprise-level engagements and start-ups across a broad spectrum of industries, including technology, banking, finance and real estate. William Mendez, CISSP will work alongside Jacob as a Director in leading Friedman CyZen LLC. William has more than 10 years of experience strategizing and executing innovative cyber security solutions for entities ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporations in the finance, real estate, nonprofit, education and energy sectors. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from New York University Polytechnic; he then earned his M.E. in the study of Network Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology.
