AICPA ENGAGE, a premier event devoted to the accounting profession in North America, returns to Las Vegas in June with a wealth of learning opportunities to help CPAs, financial planners and advisory professionals navigate tax reform, automation within the profession and evolving client needs, among other topics.

Two conferences have been added to the AICPA ENGAGE lineup this year – the EDGE Career Development Conference, designed for standout young CPAs, and the CPA Firm Management Association’s National Practice Management Conference – bringing the total number of specialty forums to seven. AICPA ENGAGE, which runs from June 9-14 at the MGM Grand, consists of more than 250 sessions on key topics and emerging issues in accounting, auditing, financial planning, law, marketing, practice management, tax and technology.

Two keynotes have been named:

  • David Gergen – a senior political analyst for CNN and former advisor to four U.S. presidents who will speak on tax reform and other key issues of the day, including their effect on the Trump administration, the business community and the United States as a whole
  • Adam Grant – an organizational psychologist and Wharton professor whose research has culminated in such bestselling books as “Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World,” “Give and Take: Why Helping Others Drives Our Success,” and “Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resiliency and Finding Joy”

More keynote sessions will be announced in the weeks ahead.

“This is a critical year for CPA firms, with a new emphasis on tax planning, the impact of artificial intelligence and blockchain on practices, and the growing importance of a comprehensive approach to personal financial planning for clients,” said Clar Rosso, executive vice president for engagement and learning innovation for the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants. “We designed AICPA ENGAGE to give CPAs and financial professionals the broadest array of educational offerings in one setting.”

Beyond the two newly added conferences, the other events that constitute AICPA ENGAGE are the Advanced Estate Planning Conference, Advanced Personal Financial Planning Conference, National Advanced Accounting and Auditing Technical Symposium, Practitioners Symposium and Tech+ Conference, and Tax Strategies for the High-Income Individual.
