Installed as an on-premise application, W-2/1099 Filer can be installed on desktop and network systems. W-2/1099 Filer offers an easily navigated user interface, that offers easy access to all system functions. There are also numerous data entry options available, including Classic Entry, Tree Entry, which expands system menus in order to display additional options, Quick Entry, which utilizes a spreadsheet format, and Interactive Entry, which displays a mirror image of the form being entered.

W-2/1099 carries forward prior year totals, and the system offers good password protection options to guard against unauthorized system access. The product is designed to use pre-printed forms, but an optional Laser Engine add-on is available that allows users to print forms on blank paper.
