Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) will serve as a major corporate sponsor of Ryan’s Run 9, the annual campaign of Allied Services Integrated Health System to raise funds for children and adults with disabilities across Northeastern Pennsylvania.

“Ryan’s Run has become an important annual campaign for our team members both locally and firmwide and it is rewarding for us to see how the money we raise is used to advance the mission of one of the premier healthcare organizations in Northern Pennsylvania,” Mark Ross, Baker Tilly’s national healthcare practice leader, said. “I speak for our entire healthcare team when I say we are looking forward to another year of fundraising to support the Allied Services Foundation and ultimately making a difference in the communities where we live and work.”

Since Ryan’s Run began, Baker Tilly has raised and donated more than $115,000 to the Allied Services Foundation. Each year, a team member from the healthcare practice leads the firm’s fundraising efforts throughout the year and runs in the TCS New York City Marathon in November. Senior Healthcare Consultant Kelly Seeger represented Baker Tilly as the firm’s marathon runner in Ryan’s Run 8, completing her third marathon and raising close to $6,000. The campaign in total raised more than $550,000 in 2017.

“During the marathon the energy and enthusiasm from the crowd was out of this world. The fans and volunteers really kept the runners determined to persevere to the finish line,” Seeger said. “Meeting the runners was also quite special, and swapping training and fundraising stories further affirmed how proud I was to be running as Baker Tilly’s representative.”

On November 4, WNEP TV’s Ryan Leckey and 50 other runners will complete the 2018 TCS New York City Marathon, which will mark the conclusion of the Ryan’s Run 9 campaign. Baker Tilly’s Ryan’s Run 9 runner representative will be Stephanie Hollick, a senior manager on the firm’s healthcare audit team and local to Williamsport.
