Congratulations to Accounting Today's 100 Most Influential People in Accounting

CPA Practice Advisor offers our congratulations to those selected by Accounting Today as the 2018 “100 Most Influential People in Accounting.” The annual list honors a broad array of individuals impacting the profession, including thought leaders, prominent software company CEOs, as well as politicians and regulators.

Although Accounting Today is considered a competitor of CPA Practice Advisor, the two publications cover different areas that affect the practice of public accounting, with our focus being more squarely on issues, technology and practice management resources for mid-sized and small accounting firms.

In our annual “40 Under 40 Leaders Shaping the Profession,” for instance, we recognize generally younger accounting professionals who are helping to shape the profession and will do so for decades to come. In our “20 Under 40” program, we also separately recognize those non-accounting professionals, such as vendors, consultants and educators, who are helping the profession. CPA Practice Advisor also annually recognizes, in partnership with the AICPA, the Most Powerful Women in Accounting, and hosts the annual Accounting Thought Leader Symposium, and has established the CPA Practice Advisor Accounting Hall of Fame.
