Troy K. Lewis, CPA, CGMA, has received the American Institute of CPAs’ (AICPA) Tax Division Distinguished Service Award for his extraordinary contribution to the work of the Tax Division over the past year.
“Troy’s work is outstanding and he never says ‘no’ to an opportunity to help the AICPA membership,” said Amy Wang, CPA, senior manager – tax policy and advocacy for the AICPA, and co-presenter of the award. “His dedication to helping colleagues and improving the tax system is part of his DNA.”
“Troy led AICPA efforts on the new Code Section 199A, chairing the AICPA Qualified Business Income Task Force and testifying on behalf of AICPA before the IRS. His passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated leadership on this task force has helped the AICPA become a respected thought leader in this area,” said Jerry Schreiber, CPA, of Schreiber & Schreiber, co-presenter of the award.

The award was presented to Lewis at the AICPA National Tax Conference in Washington, D.C.
