Jennifer Lee Wilson, a leadership management consultant, speaker, author and former top 10 accounting firm partner, has been inducted into CPA Practice Advisor’s Accounting Hall of Fame.
The announcement was made during a special presentation on Monday evening, March 12, at the 11th annual Accounting Thought Leader Symposium in Indianapolis. Inductees into the Accounting Hall of Fame are selected by existing members. Wilson joins Accounting Hall of Fame members Greg L. LaFollette, CPA, Randy Johnston, Doug Sleeter, Gary Boomer, CPA, Rick Richardson, CPA, Chris Frederiksen, CPA, Tom Hood, CPA, Allan Koltin, CPA, and Ron Baker, CPA.
“Jen is so much more that most people know,” said Randy Johnston, a fellow Hall of Fame member, thought leader member and CEO and founder of Network Management Group, Inc. “She has been involved with accounting software and accounting firms since the early 1980’s. She not only knows software, but people and how to get the most out of both.”
Wilson is a co-founder and partner of ConvergenceCoaching, LLC, a national leadership and management consulting firm dedicated to helping leaders achieve.
Named as one of Accounting Today’s 100 Most Influential People in Accounting, INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 10 Most Recommended Consultants, and CPA Practice Advisor’s Top 25 Thought Leaders and Most Powerful Women in Accounting, Wilson has worked in both the public accounting and IT sectors before cofounding ConvergenceCoaching, LLC. As a partner for the top ten accounting firm, BDO, Jennifer ran the National Financial Solutions Group practice with nearly 100 consultants providing financial systems selection, implementation, and support services to clients.
She is a member of the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA), Association for Accounting Marketing (AAM), American Marketing Association, American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and International Coach Federation. Wilson is also a member of the New Horizon Group and CPA Consultants’ Alliance, forums for leading consultants to the accounting profession.
Wilson is a regular guest columnist and blogger for Accounting Today, Accounting Tomorrow, The Journal of Accountancy and AICPA CPA Insider with many recently published articles on engaging Next Gen clients and talent, succession, partner performance, talent development, and growth. She is a nationally recognized speaker, teacher, and facilitator delivering leadership and management insights to accounting and technology associations, state societies, and firms.
The Thought Leader Symposium brings together key influencers in the accounting profession for interactive discussions with each other and engagement with vendors that are shaping the profession and small businesses. Attendees travel from as far as Australia to attend the event. The 2018 Symposium is sponsored by ADP, BQE and Intuit.
The Symposium was held at the Rootworks Learning Center at the PNC Center in Indianapolis.
