Canopy, the leading cloud-based practice management platform for tax and accounting professionals, today announced a program to provide a “tax break” to hard-working accountants this tax season. The “Tax Break” campaign delivers hot Domino’s pizza to accounting firms that are putting in long hours around today’s filing deadline — especially as they work through the multitude of new tax code changes.

“Our mission at Canopy is to develop and deliver products that ease accounting professionals practice management workflow and increase productivity,” said Jordan Ray, CRO, Canopy. “Gifting Domino’s e-gift cards is an extension of our commitment to supporting tax professionals nationwide with a bit of relief during this particularly complex tax cycle.”

The program developed after Canopy collaborated with Domino’s stores in Ogden, Utah to bring hot pizza to hundreds of furloughed IRS workers at the local IRS tax facility, one of the largest in the nation.

Canopy provides professional tax and practice management software to accounting firms. The modern, cloud-based software cuts out tax practice busywork, improves the client experience, and brings all the different tools a tax practitioner needs under one roof. Canopy was founded by Kurt Avarell, who walked away from his career as a Wall Street tax attorney to launch Canopy from his basement in 2014.
