The AICPA has launched a revamped version of their diversity benchmarking tool. The Accounting Inclusion Maturity Model (AIMM) is a free tool that was designed to help accounting firms evaluate their current diversity and inclusion practices and quickly identify opportunities for improvement. AIMM, which was initially developed in 2015, has been updated to reflect leading diversity and inclusion practices. In addition, it has been streamlined to provide a more user-friendly approach, with fewer questions to answer without sacrificing the quality of the assessment.

The AICPA works to encourage and promote diversity & inclusion within the CPA profession and its workforce. The U.S. census projects that minorities will comprise the majority of the population in the U.S. by 2045. The AICPA believes that a workplace that is reflective and inclusive of the communities in which they serve – different people, different cultures, and different perspectives – is better positioned to solve the challenging and complex issues facing clients while continuing to serve the public interest.

Firms and organizations that complete the assessment with receive:

  • A free, customized report based on the responses provided.
