Natalie McVeigh joins EisnerAmper as a Center for Family Business Excellence director
EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recently announced that Natalie McVeigh has joined the firm as a director in its Center for Family Business Excellence. She will specialize in working with high-net-worth families to help them reach their personal and professional goals.
McVeigh, who will be based at EisnerAmper’s Iselin, New Jersey office, has a B.A. in Law & Society and a B.A. in Philosophy from Hood College, and an M.S. in Business Ethics and Compliance from the New England College of Business and Finance. She also holds certificates in Advanced Family Business Advising, Advanced Family Wealth Advising, and Entrepreneurial Coaching.
BakerHostetler brings on J. Brian Davis to lead international tax team
BakerHostetler recently announced that J. Brian Davis will lead the firm’s international tax team. Davis replaces Paul Schmidt, who became the chairman of BakerHostetler earlier this year.
Davis has more than two decades of experience providing tax law counsel in various settings, including a Big Four accounting firm, a major tax law firm, and an international publicly traded company and has practiced law in all areas of the U.S. federal income taxation. His clients include U.S. and non-U.S. multinational enterprises representing a variety of industries.
Baker Tilly Partner Jonathan T. Marks Joins AICPA Forensic and Litigation Services Fraud Task Force

Withum Names Six New Partners to Top-Ranked Advisory, Tax & Assurance/Accounting Firm
WithumSmith+Brown, PC (Withum), a national top-ranking public accounting firm, recently announced the promotion of six principals and senior managers to partner. The new partners are:
· Anthony Aniello, is based in the firm’s Boston office. He specializes in U.S. and international tax compliance and consulting as a member of the Financial Services group, serving alternative investment funds in the hedge, private equity and venture capital space.
· Erik Halluska, is based in Withum’s Orlando, FL office and serves in the firm’s Assurance and Accounting service area specializing in the Hospitality and Not-for-Profit industries; advising clients through analysis of internal control and operational efficiencies. His advisory services include not-for-profit tax compliance, common interest realty associations and commercial real estate.
· Jessica Hollobaugh Giresi, is based in Withum’s Princeton office where she focuses on providing a wide range of consulting services including forensic accounting, economic damage calculations, professional liability matters, bankruptcy litigation, business valuations, shareholder disputes and matrimonial litigation on behalf of attorneys, corporations and individuals.
· Joseph Malfettano splits his time between the firm’s New York City and Red Bank, N.J. offices, serving as team leader of the New York Construction Services group, advising clients in the heavy highway, site work, electrical and steel sectors as well as related specialty contracting and subcontracting sectors.
· Ryan Shannon, is a team leader in the firm’s Technology Services group based in New York City, focusing on the emerging growth and technology industries. s. His extensive accounting and attestation experience also encompasses complex equity and debt structures, revenue recognition methodology, cryptocurrencies and e-commerce.
· Chaya Siegfried leads the firm’s International Business Tax Services and is based in the Red Bank, N.J., office. Her areas of specialization include advising U.S. and foreign multi-national companies in the tax implications of international operations as well as coordination of U.S. tax laws to develop an optimal worldwide tax strategy.
Expansion Capital Group Names Herk Christie Chief Operating Officer
Expansion Capital Group (ECG),”) recently announced the appointment of Herk Christie from VP of Operations to Chief Operating Officer. Christie will oversee the company’s underwriting, IT, analytics, and merchant support and services departments. Christie, has been with ECG since March 2016 and has played a critical role in the growth of ECG and its many successes.

Ben Comstock joins Plante Moran
Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest accounting, tax and consulting firms recently announced that Ben Comstock has joined the firm as a senior associate in its Traverse City office. In this new role, Comstock will provide tax compliance and consulting services to various clients.
Comstock is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in accountancy from Loyola University Chicago.
