RUN Powered by ADP Payroll for Partners, also known as RUN Wholesale, is the white-label accountant version of the popular RUN Powered by ADP payroll platform utilized by more than 700k small businesses. It is designed for businesses with between 1-49 employees, and is ideal for accounting firms that are interested in providing live payroll and related HR services to clients. For accountants who would rather outsource the entire payroll function and refer their clients directly to ADP, Accountant Connect from ADP is also available. Accountant Connect is a portal that connects users directly with the clients that they are serving.
RUN is a cloud-based application, offering anytime, anywhere access from a variety of devices including desktop and workstation computers, smart phones and tablets. The product also offers excellent scalability, with three plans available: Essential, Enhanced, and Complete. For those looking for enhanced HR functionality, an HR Pro plan is also available. All RUN plans include complete payroll processing, tax filing, and employee access and onboarding. For businesses that would like to run payroll in-house, a do-it-yourself option is also offered by ADP. RUN offers a variety of payroll delivery options, supporting direct deposit, prepaid Visa cards, paper checks, or the option to print checks onsite.
RUN by ADP has a streamlined user interface, where users can access the Run Payroll feature as well as insurance and HR options. Users also have access to related payroll functions such as upcoming payroll dates, and the ability to enter manual checks. Running payroll requires little input, with users able to review all payroll information on screen and make any changes, including adding additional hours or bonuses. RUN supports contractor payments as well. If using the optional Time and Attendance module from ADP, all hours will be automatically added to the payroll application. Once payroll has been reviewed, the system will display the amount required to fund the payroll. If everything looks correct, just click on the Approve tab to process payroll. In addition to standard payroll, RUN also handles after-the-fact payroll. Those using Accountant Connect can access all of their clients from the client dashboard, choosing the client or clients that need payroll processed.
RUN by ADP includes tax tables for all 50 states, with all federal, state, and local taxes filed by RUN. This includes all compliance reporting, electronic filing, and tax remittance. Both W-2s and 1099s are processed in the application as well. RUN includes an excellent selection of standard reports in a variety of categories including Payroll, Taxes, Benefits, HR, and Miscellaneous. Reports available include a Payroll Summary, Payroll Details, Earnings Record, Wage and Tax Register, Deduction Summary, Payroll Liability, Earnings by Department, New Hire, and Performance Review, with all reports able to be exported to Microsoft Excel for customization. A Custom Report option is also available in RUN, which allows users to easily create their own custom reports as desired.
RUN offers easy integration with ADP Time and Attendance, which includes complete clock-in and clock-out capability, as well as scheduling, sick and vacation tracking, and a variety of time and attendance reports. RUN also integrates with numerous third-party time and attendance applications, along with accounting applications such as QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Wave, and Xero. Other integrations are offered in a variety of categories including point of sale, employee benefits, time tracking and more.
Employees can access payroll and benefits data using ADP Employee Access, where they can access up to three years of paystubs, W-2s, 1099s, manage retirement accounts, and enroll in paperless pay statements.
All RUN plans include HR features such as ADP Employee Access, New Hire Onboarding, and Employment Verification, with the Complete and HR Pro versions also offering Enhanced HR Help Desk Support, along with an employee handbook wizard and employer and employee training.
RUN by ADP offers quick access to product Help from any data entry screen. Toll-free product support is available 24/7 with email support offered as well. All of the other user resources are password protected and available to authorized users only. A separate, dedicated Accountant Help Desk option is also available for exclusive use by accounting professionals with clients using an ADP solution.
