EisnerAmper LLP Announces New Vice Chairs
EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recently named three of its partners and key leaders to the newly created role of Vice Chair, with the promotions effective February 1:
Michael Breit – Vice Chair for Strategic Relationships. Michael will oversee existing client relationships and the cultivation of new business relationships to help the firm meet its growth goals. Michael is currently the Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment Group and was previously the Partner-in-Charge of the New York office.
Christopher Loiacono – Vice Chair for Services. Chris will be responsible for the growth and quality of service offerings. This will include the oversight of the firm’s required skill sets, capabilities, capacity, training, and quality control procedures. Chris is also a leader in the Tax Services Group and was previously the Managing Partner of Services.
Jay Weinstein – Vice Chair for Industries and Markets. Jay will be responsible for executing business strategies for existing markets and segments and identifying emerging opportunities, in essence, the firm’s chief growth officer. Most recently, he was the Partner-in-Charge of the New Jersey office and the Managing Partner of Markets and Industries.
PC Matic Announces New Leadership Hire
PC Matic recently announced a new leadership hire, naming Emeline Espinet its Vice President of Strategy and Business Development. With over twenty-five years of experience in the software industry, Espinet will oversee strategic imperatives and growth initiatives for the company as it looks to expand its operations across the globe.
Previously with Microsoft and Citrix, Espinet brings a wealth of knowledge and years of global experience in the software industry. Emeline is a graduate of Florida International University where she obtained a Bachelors in Mathematical Science and Computer Science.
EisnerAmper Announces Key Service Area and Regional Office Promotions
EisnerAmper LLP, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, recently announced the following promotions, effective February 1:
Nicholas Tsafos – Partner-in-Charge of the New York office. Nick is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth strategy for the New York office. He is also on the Board of Directors of EisnerAmper Global.
Diane Wasser – Partner-in-Charge of the New Jersey offices. Diane is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-term growth strategy for the New Jersey offices. She is also the founder and Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Pension Services Group.
Peter J. Cogan – Managing Partner, Financial Services Industry. Peter will be responsible for the strategic growth of the Financial Services practice (which services more than 2,500 clients). He is also the leader of the firm’s Financial Services Audit and Assurance Services practice, a Director of the Cayman Islands practice, and a Director and the Board Chair of EisnerAmper Global.
Matthew Maulbeck – Managing Partner, Audit. Matt will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s Audit practice, focusing on the quality and capabilities of audit professionals. Matt will also lead the technology-driven transformation of the Audit practice.
Scott Woznicki Joins CBIZ as Managing Director
CBIZ, the nation’s 10th largest accounting and tax provider, has grown its System and Organization Controls (SOC) Practice with the addition of Scott Woznicki, CPA, CISA. Scott has joined as a Managing Director and Leader of the SOC Practice in New England. He works out of both the Boston, MA and Providence, RI offices.
Prior to joining CBIZ & MHM, Scott worked at a Big Four accounting firm, and most recently served as the Internal Audit Director for a large publicly-traded organization.
UHY LLP Welcomes New Partner in Capital Region
UHY Advisors, a provider of tax and advisory services to entrepreneurial clientele and other organizations recently announced that Michael Poveda has joined the firm as an Assurance and Advisory Partner and will be based in the firm’s Capital Region, Albany, NY office.
Poveda has over 24 years of experience providing assurance, accounting and advisory services to national and international clients in various industries. Poveda is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He received a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
George Cobleigh Joins CBIZ as Managing Director
CBIZ, the nation’s 10th largest accounting and tax provider, has expanded its Private Equity/Venture Capital Practice with the addition of George Cobleigh, CPA, MST. George has joined as a Tax Managing Director and works out of both the Providence, RI and Boston, MA offices.
George has over 30 years of experience providing tax services to clients in the private equity industry, including domestic and international tax planning, consulting and compliance services. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and a Master of Science in Taxation from Bryant University.
Centage Corporation Taps Nate Burnes as Vice President of Customer Success
Centage Corporation (www.centage.com), a leading provider of cloud financial software that transforms how businesses budget, forecast, analyze and report, announced today that it has promoted Nate Burnes into the newly created role of Vice President of Customer Success. Burnes will oversee Centage’s Consulting, Customer Success, Customer Advocacy, Enablement and Support teams to ensure the best possible experience for all Centage customers. Nate holds an MBA from Cornell University.
As part of his role, Burnes will develop and rollout customer-facing events, establish an advisory board and user groups designed to strengthen relationships with customers, and ensure that Centage grows and evolves in ways that meet customers’ most pressing business needs.
Nathan Wechsler & Company Managing Director Reappointed to Board Position
The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA recently announced that Oreste “Rusty” Mosca, CPA, was recently reappointed as treasurer for the New Hampshire and Vermont Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC NH/VT).
Founded in 1950, Associated Builders and Contractors is a national construction industry trade organization representing nearly 21,000 chapter members. It is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing the American business community and the merit shop construction industry.
Mosca joined Nathan Wechsler & Company in 1987 and currently serves as the firm’s Managing Director. In his practice, he provides accounting and audit services to the construction and non-profit sectors. A graduate of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, Mosca holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA).
Ranjit Jaswal Joins Mazars USA as National Leader of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Practice
Mazars USA LLP, a leading accounting, tax, and consulting firm, recently announced that Ranjit Jaswal has joined the firm as a Principal and the new National Leader of the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Practice in Consulting. Based out of the New York Office, in this role, Ranjit will serve as a member of the Mazars USA Consulting leadership team as well as Mazars Group’s global GRC leadership team.
Ranjit is a globally experienced professional with over 23 years of experience spanning London, Hong Kong and New York. He has held roles of increasing responsibility within two Big Four firms as well as global Financial Services organizations focusing on global objectives whilst understanding local nuances.
Grant Thornton names David Platt to East region leadership role; expands regional role for Nichole Jordan
Founded in Chicago in 1924, Grant Thornton LLP (Grant Thornton) one of the world’s leading organizations of independent audit, tax and advisory firms recently named David Platt as its regional managing partner for the firm’s East region. In the role, Platt will oversee a consolidated geographic area covering the firm’s East Coast operations.
Prior to his new role, Platt served as Grant Thornton’s Northeast region managing partner. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) in New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts and also received a juris doctor degree from Roger Williams University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina.
Grant Thornton has also expanded Nichole Jordan’s role as its regional managing partner for the firm’s Central region – adding the Midwest geographic area to a portfolio that previously consisted of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas.
Jordan became Grant Thornton’s regional managing partner for the Central region in December 2019. She has held a number of senior leadership roles at Grant Thornton since joining the firm in 2003 and is a CPA in Texas and received a bachelor’s of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Texas at Austin.
The twin roles complement an already-existing position held by Grant Thornton Partner Tony Perazzo, who is the regional managing partner for the firm’s West region – a position he has held since 2019, while also serving as the office managing partner for Grant Thornton’s offices in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Prior to being named to his current role, he was the firm’s California market leader. Before that, he served as the firm’s Northern California Audit practice leader. He is a CPA in California, and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of San Francisco.
Baker Tilly Adds New Partner Bridget Quinn to Banking Practice in New Jersey
Leading advisory, tax and assurance firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker Tilly) recently welcomed Bridget Quinn as a partner in the firm’s financial services practice focusing on the depository and lending sector.
Quinn has more than 20 years of experience and serves clients in both the private and public sectors, while also advising clients on financial statements and related disclosures.
Quinn is a member of the AICPA and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. She was a founding member and former vice chair of the Baker Tilly International network’s Financial Institutions Committee, as well as a founding trustee and treasurer for the Franklin Township Foundation of Educational Excellence.
