The Bonadio Group Promotes Six to Partner, Adds Two Additional Partners

Effective January 1, 2021, nationally ranked Top 50 CPA firm The Bonadio Group promoted six employees to Partner. New Partners include David Dinolfo, Amanda Corona, Grace Gonzalez, Jason Acker and Cathy Johnson in Rochester; and Stephen Turner in Buffalo. The firm also recruited two new Partners: Michael Smith in Buffalo and Alex Ermakov in Rochester.

David Dinolfo, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Commercial Audit team, providing accounting and consulting services for clients including manufacturers, distributors, high tech companies, service providers, software companies, private equity firms, real estate companies, social clubs, and employee benefit plans. He is also a member of The Bonadio Group’s Transaction Advisory Services team and spends a considerable time completing Due Diligence and Quality of Earnings projects and sell-side investment banking projects.

Amanda Corona, CPA, CCIFP, is a Partner in the firm’s Commercial and Construction teams. Her experience includes attestation and consulting services for clients in a variety of industries, including construction, real estate, manufacturing, and employee benefit plans. She currently serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Construction Financial Management Association of Greater Rochester, NY Chapter as well as a Board Member of the Rochester Spinal Association.

Grace Gonzalez, CPA, is a Partner in the firms Healthcare division. She has over 13 years of experience serving tax-exempt organizations, focusing on financial and educational institutions and employee benefit plans. Grace is a frequent speaker on accounting matters at regional and national conferences and a trusted advisor to organizations ranging in asset size from a few million to over five billion. Grace’s blend of technical expertise in audit and advisory services makes her an indispensable business partner to her clients.

Jason Acker, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Small Business Advisory division. He brings more than 10 years of experience servicing family and closely held businesses. He specializes in financial statement review, compilation and preparation services, business and individual tax compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and other consulting and client service projects. Jason serves clients in several different industries, including manufacturers, construction contractors, service providers, wholesalers and retailers, and medical practices.

Cathy Johnson, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Tax division, specializing in trust and estate planning. Her areas of expertise include high net worth individuals, trust, estates and partnership taxation. Cathy has over 20 years of experience in tax compliance and planning across a variety of industries including manufacturing, real estate, construction, marketing, professional services and high technology.

Stephen Turner, CPA, is a Partner in the firm’s Commercial Audit division. He works closely with a wide array of clients including manufacturers, construction companies, auto dealerships, real-estate companies, and other privately held companies. Steve’s responsibilities include the overall coordination and oversight of financial statement audits and other attest services as well as inventory and management consulting projects. Additionally, Steve has extensive employee benefit plan experience, working with both SEC registered and privately held company plans.

Michael Smith joins The Bonadio Group from Deloitte, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in business development and tax and audit services for everything from regional to global companies and organizations. Michael served as the Deloitte Upstate NY Regional Tax Leader for 17 years. As Partner at The Bonadio Group, he will be focused on business development, client relationship management and client service deployment.

Alex Ermakov comes to The Bonadio Group from Deloitte Tax, working on a wide array of clients and areas of tax. He brings extensive experience in the areas of manufacturing and retail, real estate, private equity clients, and more. He has also spent a great deal of time working with large family office clients with heavy emphasis on private wealth planning and compliance, working with various teams of tax, legal and finance professionals to help clients address life events in areas of personal taxation and impact on their business holdings and operations.
