Chris Goodman Named Crowe Chief Marketing Officer

Crowe LLP, a public accounting, consulting, and technology firm recently announced that Chris Goodman has assumed the role of chief marketing officer (CMO). Goodman joins as a principal in the firm and an addition to CEO Mark Baer’s previously announced leadership team.

In his new role, Goodman will be responsible for leading the firm’s marketing and communications organization. Goodman has an MBA in marketing from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Cornell University. He is based out of the New York office.

Goodman has more than 30 years of experience developing integrated marketing programs. He recently led his own marketing consulting firm and previously served in CMO roles at both KPMG and Accenture. He also served as an executive vice president at Young & Rubicam and a senior vice president at IMG.

REDW Principal Chris Tyhurst Appointed to Arizona Society of CPAs Board of Directors

REDW LLC, one of the Southwest’s 10 largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms, recently announced that Chris Tyhurst, a Principal in the Firm’s Phoenix office and Quality Control Director for REDW’s Audit and Consulting Department, has been appointed to a two-year term with the Board of Directors of the Arizona Society of CPAs (ASCPA). The appointment is effective May 1, 2021 for the 2021-2023 term.

The ASCPA is the leading organization for CPAs in Arizona. The Society’s objective is to create opportunities to maximize members’ potential through advocacy, connections and education

Chris has been in public accounting since 1994, joining REDW in 1996. He has extensive experience auditing and consulting with Native American tribes and their enterprises. Chris has also developed a broad base of knowledge in the healthcare industry by performing financial audits and consulting with many hospitals and healthcare organizations in the areas of revenue cycle improvement, internal controls and internal audits.

Lockstep Appoints Melissa Hendrick as EVP of Marketing

As the newest member of the executive team, Hendrick will spearhead global customer acquisition through direct and partner channels to fuel the next wave of growth for Lockstep. Marks Paneth Appoints Anthony Delfiner As Partner-In-Charge of the Firm’s Philadelphia Office

Top 100 accounting, tax and advisory firm, Marks Paneth LLP, has appointed Anthony (Tony) Delfiner as Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Philadelphia Office. In this role, Mr. Delfiner will oversee the Philadelphia office’s strategic growth and direction and provide leadership on office matters, strengthen and build relationships with individuals and businesses in the region, and support growing practice areas, including construction.

Mr. Delfiner has more than 25 years of experience providing integrated tax planning, compliance and consulting services to individual and corporate clients. He specializes in advising clients on complex matters including the tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, as well as estate, gift and inheritance taxes at the federal and state levels.

Baker Tilly Names Shanté George Chief of Staff

Leading advisory CPA firm Baker Tilly US, LLP (Baker Tilly) recently appointed Principal Shanté George as chief of staff to help drive the firm’s strategic direction and enterprise initiatives as well as support executive leadership and operations. Effective June 1, George will succeed Jacqueline Wiggins who transitioned to the firm’s chief strategy officer and joined the firm’s senior leadership team.

George joined Baker Tilly’s bankruptcy and restructuring services in 2016 and was promoted to partner in 2019. She has wide-ranging experience leading teams in providing financial and strategic advisory services to clients in the areas of financial and operational restructurings, large-scale forensic investigations and M&A due diligence.

As Baker Tilly’s chief of staff, George will serve as an advisor to the CEO, influencing Baker Tilly’s strategic initiatives and key business decisions. She will translate strategic priorities into actionable and qualitative plans aligned to the CEO’s agenda for organizational growth and transformation. George also will be the North American regional liaison for the Baker Tilly Network, leading coordination and collaboration with U.S. member firms as Whitman assumes his new role as BTI chairman in October 2021.

George holds leadership roles on Baker Tilly’s Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging for Success steering committee and as partner liaison for NexGen, Baker Tilly’s signature initiative that raises the voices and visibility of emerging leaders and connects its workplace across generations to support and learn from each other. She has been named to Crain’s New York Business Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting list and received “40 under 40” honors from M&A Advisor, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, respectively.
