Baker Tilly US, LLP has acquired AcctTwo Shared Services, LLC. The move amplifies Baker Tilly’s robust product development capabilities and extensive digital practice. The acquisition will be effective Oct.
AcctTwo is a seven-time Partner of the Year of Sage Intacct, the first-and-only preferred financial-management system of the AICPA. AcctTwo is both a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) of Sage Intacct and a managed services provider with proprietary solutions for the powerful cloud-based platform.
“We are investing heavily in the digital space to help our clients drive sustainable growth and stay ahead of the technology revolution,” said Angela MacPhee, Baker Tilly consulting managing partner. “Together with AcctTwo, Baker Tilly’s end-to-end solutions can meet the needs of businesses in any stage of their life cycle.”
“This is a powerful combination where our vision and strategy align,” said AcctTwo founder and CEO Marcus Wagner. “Being deep in the technology sphere, we wanted a partner with advisory CPA expertise and the same commitment to clients and future growth.”
Baker Tilly brings AcctTwo clients significantly more resources and capabilities coast-to-coast and internationally in tax, assurance and consulting. These now include best-in-class software and business process transformation, to outsourcing a client’s entire finance and accounting function.
“This is a great outcome for our joint customers,” said Taylor Macdonald, senior vice president of channels for Sage Intacct. “This acquisition brings together our seven-time Partner of the Year and one of the most modern advisory CPA firms with global reach and an impressive breadth and depth of expertise.”
Headquartered in Houston, AcctTwo helps further ingrain Baker Tilly into the largest city in Texas and fourth largest in the country. This business metropolis increasingly is a hot bed for technology companies and talent. AcctTwo’s 100-person team located in Houston, Dallas and remote locations will join Baker Tilly Digital.
