RubinBrown Partner, Renita Duncan, Receives Honor

Renita Duncan, CPA, Partner-In-Charge of RubinBrown’s Public Sector Services Group, was recently named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, 2021 class.

More than 350 nominations were submitted and reviewed by a panel of previous 40 Under 40 winners who helped select the new class. Renita was selected based on her professional achievements and contributions to the St. Louis community.

Renita joined RubinBrown in 2008 as an intern. In 2013, she was promoted to Manager and then Partner in 2018. In 2019, she was named Partner-In-Charge of the Public Sector Services Group, a recognized leader in providing services to public sector organizations across the region.

Renita is a graduate of the St. Louis Business Diversity Initiative Leadership Program, which is designed to address the interests and challenges of professionals of color as they work to develop and advance their careers. Renita received a Master’s in Accounting from the University of Missouri, Columbia.

MSPC Certified Public Accountants and Advisors announces promotion

MSPC Certified Public Accountants and Advisors, with offices in New Jersey and New York City, is pleased to announce the promotion of Len Sprishen, J.D., LL.M to Director of Global Tax Advisory. Len provides tax advice to MSPC’s clients and worldwide affiliates on a broad range of federal, international, and state and local tax matters.  He is regularly involved in a variety of tax projects, including mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, controversy resolution, inbound and outbound investment structuring and compliance, income tax treaty analysis, tax-exempt entity operations, and multistate nexus studies.

Prior to joining MSPC, Len was a tax lawyer in the corporate department of a large mid-Atlantic law firm.  He has also worked in the specialty tax group at Duff & Phelps Corp. and in the international tax group at Alcoa Corporation.  Len is a member of the Taxation Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association and is actively involved with that group’s International Tax Committee.  He has been an Adjunct Professor at The College of New Jersey since 2012. Len is also a Certified Commercial Cannabis Expert.
