Top 25 CPA and advisory firm Carr, Riggs & Ingram, LLC (CRI) has acquired Jupiter, Florida-based firm Travani & Richter, P.A. All office locations will now operate under the CRI name, and the personnel join a team of more than 1,900 professionals serving clients from locations across the Southeastern United States.

“Increasing our presence along Florida’s Treasure Coast has always been a part of our strategic growth plan,” stated William H. Carr, chairman and managing partner of CRI. “The addition of Travani & Richter’s rich tax compliance and consulting capabilities for high net worth individuals, small businesses, and family foundations to our existing skilled teams in the Southern part of the state only enhances the client service delivery and technical expertise for our client base in Martin, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie counties.”

Travani & Richter has been performing tax compliance and consulting for high net worth individuals throughout the southern Florida area for nearly 20 years. Joining CRI allows the team to expand their offerings and provide a set of more specialty services—such as business valuations and state, local, and international tax—that complement their current range of services. Furthermore, Travani & Richter will have access to the extended services provided by CRI’s family of portfolio companies ranging from wealth management (Level Four Advisory Services), to trust and estate planning (Preferred Legacy Trust), and even investment banking solutions (CRI Capital Advisors).

“In addition to being one of the largest women owned CPA firms in the greater Palm Beach area, Travani and Richter is one of the most sought after firms when it comes to sophisticated tax planning advice, said Allan Koltin, CPA, CGMA, founder of the Koltin Consulting Group, which advised the firms on the acquisition. “The founders—Misty and Darline—were attracted to Carr Riggs & Ingram’s amazing culture of innovation as well as their deep investments in technology, training, and commitment to outstanding client service. CRI continues on their incredible journey of being the fastest growing first generation firm in the southeast as well as their mission of attracting and growing top talent along the way.”
