Nathan Wechsler Announces New Promotions
The regional accounting firm of Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA recently announced the promotions of Samantha Henrichon, Brett McConn, Heather Murphy and Annie Scionti Brett, CPA.
McConn started at the firm in 2016 and has spent the entirety of his professional accounting career with Nathan Wechsler & Company, PA. Henrichon and Murphy both started in 2017; Henrichon as a summer intern and Murphy as an associate. Scionti Brett joined the firm in 2019 as a senior accountant. Prior to their recent promotions, these five professionals held the position of senior accountant. Each now takes on new responsibilities as supervising seniors.
A 2017 graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, Henrichon earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. A year later, she earned a Master of Science in Accounting from the same institution. In her role as a supervising senior, Henrichon performs work for a variety of clients, including accounting, auditing, compliance, financial statement preparation, nonprofit tax return preparation, and special projects. She specializes in working with nonprofit clients.
McConn studied at the University of New Hampshire, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 2015 and a Master of Science in Accounting in 2016. He specializes in working with manufacturing clients and clients in the nonprofit sector. McConn currently serves as treasurer of the Safe Haven Ballet.
An alumna of the University of New Hampshire, Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2016 and a Master of Science in Accounting the following year. As a supervising senior, she specializes in accounting, compliance, financial statement preparation, business and individual taxation, as well as employee benefit plan audits.
Scionti Brett earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a liberal studies major in Ethics and Social Responsibility from Bentley University in 2015. In 2020, she earned her CPA designation. Scionti Brett specializes in working with individuals, small businesses, partnerships, and consolidated returns. She is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) and is QuickBooks certified.
Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz Hires New Audit Manager, Small Business Accounting Services Associate and Three New Staff Accountants
Regional premier advisory firm, Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), has hired new team members in Pennsylvania:
Ryan J. Grigg, CPA, MBA, joined the BSSF team as an Audit Manager with a focus on nonprofit and governmental entities. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Shippensburg University. He brings eight years of experience to the Firm. Ryan will be working remotely from South Daytona, Florida.
Pamela A. Gusler joined the team as a Small Business Accounting Services (SBAS) Associate. She has several years of administrative experience and over three years of bookkeeping experience. She is a graduate of Howard University. Pamela is located at the BSSF office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Joseph K. Hoover joined the BSSF team as a Staff Accountant on the Audit team. He graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He is in the BSSF office in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.
Jenna O. Krage interned with BSSF in 2021 and has now joined the team as a Tax Staff Accountant. She is a graduate of Cairn University with a Bachelor of Science degree and master’s degree in Business Administration. Jenna is in the BSSF office in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Shawn T. Manges interned with BSSF in 2021 and has now joined the Firm as a Tax Staff Accountant. He graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Shawn is in the BSSF office in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
Irfan Dossani Joins ITA Client Accounting Services Committee
Whitley Penn WP Edge Partner-in-Charge, Irfan Dossani, has joined the Information Technology Alliance (ITA) Client Accounting Services (CAS) Committee.
The Information Technology Alliance is holding its Spring Collaborative Conference April 24-26, 2022, at the Hilton Denver City Center in Denver, Colorado. Speakers include leaders of the IT profession throughout the US and Canada, including IT consultants and service providers, software publishers, and the Internal Technology Leaders of most large CPA firms.
The Conference includes a CAS track for practice leaders and management teams of some of the largest, multi-office CPA firms in North America. The CAS practice leaders come to ITA conferences to share best practices on how to deliver the highest quality accounting and advisory products and services to their customers and clients for their respective firms.
