I graduated with a bachelor degree in accounting from Georgia State University. After internships in tax and audit, she decided to join the corporate accounting world, working for Intralot, Inc., a lottery technology and manufacturing company.
There, I grew from staff accountant to corporate controller in less than 7 years. By that time, I was leading a team of 15, overseeing all accounting and finance functions, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, tax, and treasury.
From there, I moved on to more FP&A-focused roles at Boehringer Ingelheim, a global pharmaceutical company, where I was the finance business partner for different business units.
A common theme in my career has been process improvements and team development, whether through redesigning existing workflows, or implementing new systems.
I’m currently the vice president of accounting and finance of ACM Chemistries, Inc., a chemical manufacturer located in the Atlanta metro-area.
