The Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountantsis offering a webinar on February 17, 2023 titled Schedules K-2 and K-3: Why Even Partnerships and S Corporations with No Foreign Activities or Members May Need to Prepare These Forms. The webinar is open to both HSCPA members and non-members, and will discuss IRS filing rules and revisions. For more information, contact HSCPA.

The Virginia Society of CPAs recently announced that the Essential Ethics courses are live and open for registration., with several new courses available for 2023 including:

  • Ethical Considerations in DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) 2023: Recruitment & Retention of Diverse Talent
  • Ethical Transgressions 2023: Tales of Corruption
  • Virginia’s Regulatory Landscape for CPAs 2023: What You Need to Know

All courses are available on demand and are open to VSCPA members only.

The Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs is offering a series of conferences in 2023 designed to cover some of the challenges accountants and CPAs face in various industries. Upcoming conferences include:

  • CFOs and Controllers Conference – March 16 and 23, 2023
  • Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical Conference – April 20, 2023
  • Employee Benefit Plan Conference – May 23, 2023
  • Pennsylvania School District Conference – June 1, 2023

The Minnesota CPA and the MNCPA CPAPAC are offering CPA Day at the Capitol. The event takes place on February 23, with a registration deadline of February 16 at the State Office building in St. Paul. For more information on the event and to register, visit the MNCPA events calendar.

MNCPA also offers more than 20 free CPE credits annually to its members, with free events starting in February.

The Indiana CPA Society now offers a toolkit for Indiana CPAs interested in becoming CPA advocates. The CPA advocates stay involved with current legislative priorities and work with Indiana legislators regularly. INCPAS offers an Advocacy Toolkit to help those interested get started.
