AICPA & CIMA Now Offers New Learning Tools for Accounting Professionals
The AICPA & CIMA recently announced the offering of anew online learning platform to help accounting and finance professionals improve and update their skills to take advantage of a digital accelerating business environment.
AICPA & CIMA’s new learning system includes features such as:
- A full-featured mobile app for learning on the go
- A Learning Library where purchased content is categorized
- On-demand learning and webcasts available through a single platform
- One-click launch of courses and webcasts
- A webcast calendar used to book events quickly and track registrations
- More than 50 languages to choose from (for the interface)
Altogether, the new system offers more than 2,500 courses and webcasts.
Coalition Calls Attention to New Beneficial Ownership Information Reporting Requirements
The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) recently joined a coalition of organizations that have come together to make taxpayers and practitioners aware of the new Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting requirement. BOI is an anti-money laundering initiative enacted through the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) in 2021, which mandates that BOI information is reported to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN). It is estimated that there will be 32.6 million filings in 2024, and 5-6 million filings each year thereafter, with the potential for steep penalties for the taxpayer.

AICPA Recognizes Top 2022 CPA Exam Performers with Elijah Watt Sells Award
The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA®) recently announced the 50 winners of the 2022 Elijah Watt Sells Award. This award is granted to CPA candidates who obtain a cumulative The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA®) is pleased to announce the 50 winners of the 2022 Elijah Watt Sells Award. This award is granted to CPA candidates who obtain a cumulative average score above 95.50 across all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, pass all four sections on their first attempt and have completed testing in 2022.
