Fifteen public accounting firms in the U.S. made $1 billion or more in revenue during their most recent fiscal year, according to the newly released top 500 firms ranking for 2023 from INSIDE Public Accounting.
There are three new additions to the “billion-dollar club” for 2023. At No. 13 is New York-based Marcum, which pulled in $1.21 billion, up from $799 million in IPA’s 2022 ranking. Marcum jumped from 16th place to 13th place in the past year.
At No. 14 is Seattle-based Moss Adams, which recorded $1.12 billion during its most recent fiscal year, up from $955 million in 2022’s IPA ranking. Moss Adams dropped one spot from No. 13 in 2022 to No. 14 in 2023.
The 15th biggest firm in the U.S is Southfield, MI-based Plante Moran, which posted $1.01 billion in revenue, up from $918.5 million in 2022. Plante Moran also dropped one spot—from 14th in 2022 to 15th in 2023—in IPA’s latest ranking.

2. PwC: $21.33 billion
3. EY: $21.07 billion
4. KPMG: $13.71 billion
5. RSM US: $3.70 billion
6. BDO USA: $2.82 billion
7. Grant Thornton: $2.31 billion
8. Forvis: $1.68 billion
9. CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen): $1.66 billion
10. Baker Tilly: $1.58 billion
11. Crowe: $1.29 billion
12. CBIZ & MHM: $1.24 billion
13. Marcum: $1.21 billion
14. Moss Adams: $1.12 billion
15. Plante Moran: $1.01 billion
